I was waiting for this baby shower to come and it was so much fun! My mom hosted and decorated it for a friend, Dana Hampson, who has the cutest Bohemian style. All she did was send some picture ideas from Pinterest and boom! My mom made it real life over night. Since the wind was blowing outside we did it inside but made it work, complete with a photo booth. All the decorations were collected but not fancy, expensive stuff. Mostly everything was found at places like Goodwill where it was random things put together and made cute. My mom used things like tea cups, flowers, doilies, and printed blankets and pillows. She took Pinterest inspiration and personalized it. My mom is my biggest inspiration for pulling this off! She is a crazy hard worker who gets credit for my taste in fashion. So props to her and Laura Welzig for making this amazing afternoon happen. The beautiful cake was made by Jennifer Covington. All of the wonderful flower crowns were made by Miss Daisy Floral! And last but not least all the photo credit goes to Dana’s sister, Lysa Curran! The biggest thanks to all of these talented ladies!
I heard there were going to be real flower crowns and I was sold! I definitely wanted to get to dress up Bohemian for once so I found this pretty white lace dress at Forever 21. It was a tad bit short because I am so tall so no problem…I fixed it with another layered lace slip. Accepting my curls and going all natural was my choice since that’s the style of my outfit. Accents to the peaceful hippie look were my silver & gold flash tattoos, an assortment of rings, and a dangly necklace. My whole outfit put together was very neutral so I painted my lips with a vibrant mandarin color to give it a pop. I used to be a hater of eye liner but I bought me a stick of it and have decided I like it because it makes my eyes look more blue than green which is what I am going for. My sister, Adelie, also wore a dress from Forever 21 that was a navy blue with white details. She is also on the tall side and wore a lace slip to finish it off. She has the prettiest golden beach waves just for the flower crowns. My mom got her navy maxi dress from Target which pretty much has everything you would ever need. Lastly, my youngest sister, Mallory, was wearing a white dress with pink floral to it that she’s had forever since she never grows taller haha. That pretty much sums up our busy Saturday of Bohemian style! I wish you all a happy week!
